Q.
I have hypothyroidism. And i recently delivered a baby boy via C section.. I wanted to know will thyroid be passed on to my child? or do I have to get his Blood test done ?

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 2 years agoA. If you have a genetic background for hypothyroidism, yes, there are some chances that it may get seen in your baby also.
So you need to have regular check up for that

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl2 years agoA. A lot of mothers have thyroid during the time of pregnancy and it does not affect the child ever because thyroid is not something which is contagious it is not going to affect your child in any negative manner so please do not worry about it
