If it's been 5-6 momths post delivery then you can start walking doing usual house hold chores.
For workout, exercise ask Gynaecologist.
Avoid sugar processed, Maida,oily,junk foods which put on additional weight and fat.
Include more water, fluids in diet , have luke warm water with empty stomach fruit and vegetables,dry fruits and nuts, Millets, cereals will help in controlling weight and reduce fat.
