PallaviMom of a 7 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. hello....It's generally advised by doctors that your baby shouldn't drink water until he's about 6 months old and after that you can start giving few sips of water every now and then ( no more then 60 ml in 24 hours)....baby gets all the hydration needed from breast milk or formula, even in hot weather. Once your baby is 6 months old, it's okay to give him sips of water when he's thirsty.,..after that give water after every solid meal so as to prevent constipation. .
