Shaista TarannumMom of a 16 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. would suggest you buy ragi....wash it nicely and dry it thoroughly. After that get it powdered. Seive it nicely and store in a container...preferably in a glass or steel container...not plastic.
Take about 1 teaspoon ragi powder and add quarter cup water (boiled and cooled water). Mix it well and then cook this mixture for a few minutes continuously stirring until it comes to a boil. Adjust the consistency as per your requirement.add a little of jaggery or a pinch of salt....or if you think your baby will eat without these also then you can try without adding sugar or salt first.
Yes you can add any fruit puree once the mixture is cooled.
give about 60-70 ml to start off at this age and then gradually increase. you can give this twice a day with a gap of about 7-8 hours.
initially dont add too many ingredients. after a couple of more months add a few almonds also while making the powder.
