If having only home made food but calorie rich food then make her meals with protein,fibre rich foods with good fat ...
If she having full cream milk then shift to skimmed milk,reduce rice ,roti quantity increase sabji quantity,add a bowl of salad /soup in every meal .
Kichdi /grain/millet based roti ,upma,dosa with protein rich sides for dinner along with soup...
Most importantly engage into physical activities cycling ,playing in parks,skipping,regular drill or exercises helps ..
