Q.

hi , my child is 3.6 years old. she is having mild autism symptoms with speech delay even I'm taking her for speech and occupational therapy from last December till now she is not showing eye contact with me and I'm not able to play with her can someone help me how can I improve her eye contact. she is also on diapers I want to train her for potty kindly suggest some tips which will help my kid.

A. Hello.. do the counting trick, like make ur child sit in front of you and tell to look into your eyes and you start counting whenever child look away you stop counting and when child look at you start from where you left of, by doing this child will start making eye contact for little time with other activities too it will helpfull for child to do it correctly. either you do blackout whole room switch on mobile flashlight, put plastic color ball place it near your eyes and do counting trick as i said above for variations you can tell your child to point at ball with every counting. A. yes already you are taking occupational therapy and appropriate remedies for the baby it depends on the intensity of the problem baby is having for getting all this milestones it is matter of time please continue to interact
