Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. sleep will be taken according to the need of the child so if the growth of the child is proper do not worry much about the sleeping pattern and sleep hours and it will obviously change from time to time and then stabilize.
if overall the child is play full and is well responding then do not worry about the hours of sleep and they will not have any problem.
(please note if sleep is inadequate then growth will not be proper so if growth is proper then no need to worry about sleep)s
if the child is sleeping more than normal but the growth of the child is proper and in between activity of the child is normal then no intervention is required but if you feel that the child is lethargic and is not taking feeds properly then medical examination is very important s
