Q.

hi am a breastfeeding mom of 1 year and 10 months old baby girl I used to have periods 40 days once for 3 to 4 days before but am having periods 28 days once now BUT ONLY FOR 2 DAYS am worried about this does breastfeeding and periods have any co -relation?

A. your periods are now 28 days which are well within the limits of a normal menstrual cycle. The bleeding lasting for 2 days also is absolutely normal. It can be due to breastfeeding Or simply because of the change your body underwent post delivery. There is nothing to worry about as long as they are regular.

A. If your breastfeeding It can be a reason.. if your breastfeeding It may even take a year or more too resume. If you bottle feed there are chances to get it early. If you do botlle feeding and breastfeeding together it may resume in the middle too. There is no particular time and each mums body is also different.
