Q.
hi all, my kid is 4 years 5 months old now , we have joined him for swimming classes but he has got cold and cough due to the pool water and seems like he has swallowed the water too. now he is suffering from cough and. cold if the medicine is given then only he is being ok otherwise he has continuous cold and cough it's been more than 2 and half weeks. can someone suggest what to do. his lungs are clear

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectofrant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be givehn only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

You should just had never lies in the child at least twice a day for seven days that’s going to help in reducing down all kind of congestion into the chest and throat of your child which is what is going to be really helpful in this caseWrite Your Answer Here
