Q.

hello, My child is one year old, and I've been following the vaccination schedule provided by the child welfare program. However, I recently discovered that the JEEV vaccine was administered at nine months, whereas it's typically given after one year. I'm concerned about the effectiveness of the vaccine. What steps should I take now?

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedulte and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the schedule then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .
