Q.

Hello My baby just entered into 6 months and we started with solids. We gave her rice water first but as per elders suggestion we gave her more than 5 teaspoon as they say that the less quantity given will not make any difference. Can you please let us know if that is okay for baby Also can we add pinch of salt and ghee to it?

A. it's ok. start with small amount n gradually increase the portion, it's good to avoid adding salt in it. Give mashed boiled Moong Daal, rice kangi. Ragi porridge, rice porridge. Give vegetables such as pumpkin, potato, sweet potato, carrot puree, and fruits puree of pears, avocado, apple, ripe banana, papaya .
