Hello dr my 2.5 year baby has cold and caugh from 10 days . from 3 days I have given medicine for cold and caugh . But no improvement . what should I do sir / mam .

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only afterr a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fevefr and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

You can actually go ahead with the giving nebulisation to the child because liberalisation really helps a lot in clearing out the congestion in the chest and a throat one of the best options that you can go ahead with so I am going to advise you to go ahead with the same onlyWrite Your Answer Here
