Q.

Hello doc! I am having cold and cough. I took paracetamol and then chest on cold tab. But when I read it’s was said that BF mothers should not take the medicine. Now I am worried about my baby who is 2 months 10 days old and which medicine should I take to avoid cold n cough or any other issue to my child

A. can take you can take steam as well as apply vicks. you can also go for home remedies like tulsi honey ginger water as well as warm lemon tea. you may go for (warm water + salt + turmeric) gargles which will again help in decreasing cold and cough and you can continue breast feeding

A. Well actually there is no problem with that these medicines are very basic to be taken after you deliver the child during breastfeeding you can take any common medicine that you were taking during the normal course of life before your pregnancy and I don’t know where have you read it but if it is Google trust me the Google sources are not reliable when it comes to medication yet if you want you can crosscheck with your doctor on that
