A. to decrease this you have to maintain hygiene of the oral cavity by regular cleaning the oral cavity with the help of your finger as a less you can use clean cotton cloth.
this has to be done at leaszt two times per day
also the increased salivation is due to the pre tooth eruption pain and the irritation of dirty things the child places in the oral cavity

A. Excessive saliva production in a six-year-old can have various causes, including teething, oral habits, allergies, infections, or certain medical conditions. Here are some steps you can take to help manage excessive saliva production in your son:
1. **Maintain good oral hygiene**: Encourage your son to brush his teeth regularly and thoroughly, as well as to floss daily. Proper oral hygiene can help reduce excessive saliva production by minimizing oral bacteria and keeping the mouth clean.
2. **Address oral habits**: If your son has habits such as thumb sucking, lip biting, or chewing on objects, addressing these habits may help reduce excessive saliva production. Gentle reminders and positive reinforcement can help break these habits over time.
3. **Stay hydrated**: Ensure that your son drinks plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Dehydration can sometimes increase saliva production, so staying well-hydrated may help regulate saliva levels.
4. **Avoid irritants**: Certain foods, drinks, or substances may irritate the mouth and increase saliva production. Encourage your son to avoid spicy or acidic foods, as well as tobacco products if he is exposed to them.
5. **Consult with a healthcare provider**: If excessive saliva production persists or if you're concerned about your son's oral health, it's important to consult with a pediatrician or dentist. They can evaluate your son's symptoms, rule out any underlying medical conditions, and provide personalized advice and treatment options.
6. **Consider allergy or infection**: If your son has allergies or is experiencing symptoms such as nasal congestion, coughing, or sneezing, allergies or respiratory infections could be contributing to excessive saliva production. Treating the underlying allergy or infection may help reduce saliva production.
7. **Monitor for other symptoms**: Keep an eye out for any other symptoms or changes in your son's health, as excessive saliva production may be a sign of an underlying medical condition. If you notice any concerning symptoms, seek medical advice promptly.
Remember that every child is different, and what works for one child may not work for another. By taking steps to address potential causes and consulting with a healthcare provider, you can help manage excessive saliva production in your son and ensure his oral health and well-being.
