Q.

Good evening sir, my son is 4yrs 3months we r using budecort 100mg for him since a week as per doctor advice for frequent cough problems,but i came to know that it has steroids & should use only above 6yrs, kindly suggest can we continue or it has any future side effects .. thank you so much in advance..

A. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of tthe time supportive treatment is given. along with that cough expectorant ajnd decongestant with antiallergic medicine given. steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.

A. Hello dear parent, we'll if it is prescribed by your doctor then there is nothing to be worried about. Also you are giving it through nebulizer. And through nebulizer, medicine reaches directly to.lungs. Whereas steroids, if taken through syrup or tablet that goes to blood and entire body. So do not worry. Good luck and take care
