Dear Madam, This is Dr Kulkarni here, my son is 1 yr old,,... since 2-3 days he had cold (not much though), we had gave him flu cold and nebulized.. now his cold is under control.. now he has cough.. since yesterday.. can you suggest any good medicine for Cough for my Son? Thank you

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough in a child could be allergic , infective or due to some other cause like GERD so it needs proper evaluation before giving any medication .
as a first line of treatment,you can give steam inhalation to the child for the improvement before consulting your doctor.
any home remedies are of limited help in this. ifo it is infection, mild or severe,it requires proper treatment under medical guidance.self medication is not advised.
