Q.

Can we given solvin cold syrup to 5 month baby in mild fever and cold , if yes then what should be the quantity and frequency in a day . please suggest if there is more better syrup for mild fever and cold .

A. it is not advisable to give this anti cold medicine without medical consultation so meet your doctor Nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus Try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children Continue the regular diet which is being given to the child
