#asktheexperts The baby is having acne for more than a week. Does this have to be advised by the doctor or will it go off on its own

A. Atogla you can apply 3 to 4 times in the day and monitor for week to 10 days if you do not getting better than in that case of course you can consult your doctor usually these things can be settled with basic cream suggesting you to use

Q. #AskTheExpert My 1 month baby has acne on his cheeks and scalp. Doctor said it could be due to hormones, but it's been a week and the pimples have still not subsided. How long does it take for such acne to go off? My kid is also suffering from diaper rash for more than a week. We visited the doctor for the same and he suggested to use siloderm cream and coconut oil alternately on the affected area. Also we have avoided using wipes and use cloth dipped in warm water to clean his private area after passing stools. we use disposable diapers only at night and during the day we use normal cloth nappy. He seems to be passing stools often though it does not exceed 10 times a day. It has been a week since we have been following this medication, but the issue still persists. Is there anything else we should try or take care of to make sure he is free of diaper rash?
