#asktheexperts Normally it is recommended nothing to be given to the baby except breastfeeding until 6 months Should i give any kind of water to the baby because of the summer?

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. breast milk is there to take care of the hydration as well as the nutritional requirement for the baby the initial portion is very watery that takes care of hydration so water is not required and their later portion that is creamy and rich in fats will take care of nourishment

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. Strictly NO..! Breast milk has got lot of water ( 80 to 90% of water) which satisfies babys thirst. Baby should be breast feed 2 hourly exclusively till 6 months of age
