Q.

#asktheexperts my child is on the leaner side ..she was born 2.6 kg and is around 10 kg now.. her height is also on the lower side.. 84cms .. kindly guide. p s. she eats well and is quite active.

A. Hello good morning!! If baby is active and achieving milestones good at cognitive, speech then don't worry about weight. Give 3 meals and 2 snacks include high protein, high calorie foods weight gaining foods. Banana, mango, potato, beans, peas, cerelac with pulses, grains, dry fruits and nuts powder, full fat milk, paneer,curd rice,ghee, cheese, butter, dals (moongdal, chana dal, arhar,urad dal, idly,dal rice, ragi porridge, jaggery,soya, egg, meat, poultry helps in increasing weight.
