your child is already sick and the new food may create more problem so better to avoid giving beetroot for now.
give warm soup of tomato, spinach or rab ,warm dal etc

well ,as a child is 7 months old,you can give 50ml water per day ,it means few spoons of water after each meal or during play time.
if a child is looking happy and active, passes urine at least 7 or 8 times in a day then no need to worry about it much.
