#asktheexperts My baby is 7 days old and his billirubin level is 17.2 mg/dl and billirubin direct is 0.75 mg/dl...I can see yellow patches upon pressing my finger on his body and yellowness in the corners of eyes white...when and how will how levels go back to normal..is there any medicine or natural remedy for this...

A. You should check with your doctor if your child is meant to be kept into phototherapy for awhile because that is going to help in reducing down the jaundice levels and also keep your child into indirect sunlight morning and evening for about 35 to 40 minutes and give vitamin D supplement that will also help a lot
