Q.

#asktheexperts my baby is 2 months old and has not passed stools in 3 days. I have been giving her BM and top up feeds. please suggest home remedies for this

A. it's quite common you can wait for few more days feed the baby regularly and burp everytime maintain hygiene in the area. .. . . . . . .. . . .

A. Hi, As per doctor's suggestion, it is okay for babies for not passing stools max. upto 7 days, however you need to monitor whether baby urinating 7 times per day Or more , baby is active, taking food as usual BM/top up. Also you can apply castor oil in his stomach and urine part slightly so that if any stomach ache, baby feel relaxed after applying this oil. Also because of the reason not passing stools, if the baby keep on crying, you can give bonnisan for proper digestion / duphalac for passing stool freely after taking doctor's advice. Ensure to burp after every feed.

A. if your baby is not passing motion but is passing urine 8 to 10 times in a day then it is quite ok for the babies upto 5 days in the initial age when they are on breastfeeding or formula feeding only
