#asktheexperts my baby is 2 month old.he got cold ..what should i have to do ?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fevedr is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the ttemperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

please continue with breastfeeding ,it contains antibodies which help your child to fight against such Viral or bacterial Infections.
give indirect steam inhalation
give Sunbath for 20 minutes a day
