#asktheexperts My baby boy is having cold runny nose and water coming out of eyes as well as sneezing. I have given him sinarest af for cold but it's not working 0.7 ml. later having mild tempreture given paracetamol pedritic syrup 0.25 ml. kindly suggest how to reduce his cold. he is of 9 month old

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be assocdciated symptoms like cough and fever which needsc treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
