#asktheexperts my baby boy is 6 days old, denies breastfeeding and my wife is uncomfortable while breathing

A. Namaste Father, Initial days could be challenging as it is new both for the mother and the baby as well, can you please specify what exactly the issues you need help regarding ? also for the baby not able to feed, tell the mother to observe her flow of breast milk, ask her to massage her breast and hold it with help of her fingers around the nipple area

A. Consult the lactation specialist and they will tell you how do you need to feed your child directly on the breast and if your wife is facing discomfort of breathing then it could be due to blocked nose she can put nasal drops and can also take steam from time to time
