#asktheexperts my baby are premature delivery at 8 month 15 days his weight when she born 1.550 and after 1 week 1.400 it is safe

ShubhangiMom of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 months agoA. Hi.. your baby is not premature baby as she born at 8 months 15 days. Baby born before 37 weeks call premature baby.. and for the weight it is normal to loose 100 -200 gram after 1 week of birth.This weight loss is primarily due to the loss of excess fluid and is usually regained within the first two weeks. Every baby loose some weight after birth So do not worry.. And put your baby on breastfeed every 2 hours and burb her.. Stay calm.. because stress will effect on milk supply.

For initial one week to 10 days it has been seen the child can lose a little bit of weight and that’s because of jaundice and not taking proper feeding in the beginning but over the period it is going to increase right now I’m going to recommend you to start giving formula to the child along with the breastfeeding for good growth
