#asktheexperts my 7 months baby had severe UTI (CRP-199) and was given Meropenem and continue to complete Meropenem course ,it's been 8days since Meropenem ( now CRP 5.7),but now he is getting slightly fever of 100 degrees ...why such things happens and whether it's mandatory to get MCU done for my baby ?

A. The CRP level was extremely extremely high that means your child had a very serious and intense infection probably that is why it has been suggested this way so please continue with what your doctor has recommended and you should now start giving Calpol or any other paracetamol recommended by the doctor to reduce the temperature
