#asktheexperts my 19 month old communicates mainly through gestures and only speaks mama papa for various things. What can I do to improve his speech?

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children1 Year agoA. yes some baby still have late development of speech but discourage this type of sign language continue to speak with the baby at frequent intervals take the help of speech therapist

Communication is only the key that you’ll have to focus upon the more you talk to your child a child is going to learn better with gestures also also you should use words us to vote for what purpose are you using those gestures don’t give screen time get some educational toys like both books flashcards they really help a lot in encouraging the child to speak and learn better and play with those things with your child I am very certain you will see good results with passage of time
