#asktheexperts hi sir my baby girl is 5 months 18 days old, she is suffering with cold since yesterday, please suggest me any medicine?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation gby the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if adny fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

u can give maxtra syrup for cold and running nose to ur baby.
also apply babyhug rapid relief roll on or vicks babyrub on the chest and feet sole to get relief from cough and cold.
