Father of a 5 m old boy2 weeks ago
Q.

#asktheexperts hi doctor. my son is 5 months old. He sleeps well in the morning for 1 hour approx each sleep. however, as evening comes, his sleep is very short, 15-30 mins max each sleep. we try to make him sleep by 8-9pm, however it depends if he wants to sleep! and at night, by 11pm onwards, he wakes up with every move or sound, and then requires breastfeeding to go back to sleep always. need help to know if this is normal during this period

A. In this age it is completely normal as they do not have a fixed schedule plus also I must tell you that you’re feeding may not be enough Vijay why your child is waking up every one hour to take the feed because usually the feed is enough can sleep for 2 to 3 hours at a stretch in the night
