#asktheexperts hi Doc. my baby suffering from cold last 2 weeks... I gave her medicine but it's not helpful..not too much cold but Lil bit she had it

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough neegds to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchogdilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

shreya goelMom of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. Hello mom You can also give some home remedies to cure cold and cough. Had very little amount of turmeric in babies milk and also give 1 teaspoon of honey once in a day. All these are best home remedies to cure cold and cough. You can also start using Babyhug cold rub.
