#Asktheexperts Hello Doctor... My Son is 2yrs and 2 months old. we have a puppy which is 3 months old. I saw a small scratch on my son's foot and not sure whether it is because of the puppy. Can my son take vaccine for rabies. if yes pls let me know the number of doses. I just want to know whether it is safe without any side effects in future

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. This needs evaluation so it would be better to follow the local doctor for proper advice and doctor will guide you accordingly regarding this which wfould be more behfneficial so you can follow the advice

If Your dog is vaccinated then it is not required but till the time you are not very sure about how the scratch is there whether it is by the dog or some other reason don’t go ahead with taking any decision please consult your paediatrician the doctor would be able to give you a better clarity
