Q.

#asktheexperts Hello Doctor, my daughter Koushani Paul is 1 year 1 month old. Generally we provide her drinking water 5 mins after meals. But sometimes she refuses to have water post meal say after lunch or after dinner. Is it a matter of concern? Thanking you in advance.

A. no, it's normal, give water after some time A one year old baby needs 3 main meals + 2 snacks a day. Give breast milk, top milk in between and on demand. With milk intake limited up to 450 ml per day only, Keep atleast 3 hour gap between two solid feed. No food restrictions, can give everything. Don't cook separate for ur baby, give him or her same food what your eat .

A. We Normally try to feed water to the child as many times as we can see if your child is not having it after sometime then you try feeding it after one hour of the mail and in general also that’s a very good habit so if you can start doing this as from now then that’s good and all in all you should try to give at least 500 ML of water to your child on an every day on the minimum side
