Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ ssinarest.
As a part of viral illness there could be so associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

Should be consulting your doctor for that because the doctor would advise with the proper medicine to be given to the child or child is only one month old as of now it’s better to consult your doctor rather than going for any other remedy or self medication
