#asktheexperts # 7 months baby girl ,suffering from cold, sneezing, and watery eyes because of cold. we use garlik on her hand and feet, kindly suggest some medicine and home remedy

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.lah
As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

Consult your doctor once for proper medical examination and treatment
Give indirect steam inhalation
Wash hands often before touching your baby
Maintain hydration
Maintain hygiene
Take a good care of your baby
Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs to relieve gas and constipation
