Q.

#asktheexperts 1. My son’s weight has increased by only 400gms by end of 35th day, is it normal or I need to check for feeding by pumped milk also? 2. Can I take my son for long travel (around 8hrs) in Car by end of 3 months? Or by which mode it is advisable? 3. I am able to hear or feel his breathing in back sometimes when I hold him, do I need to consult with a doctor or it is normal? Thanks in advance for your support and clarifications.

A. Yes Approximately 400 g every month is considered very healthy so if your child is not able to latch onto your breast directly which is why maybe you are giving it with a bottle because always direct breastfeeding can be more healthier because that’s helping in connect with the mother and child so if you are travelling for an eight hour journey you can but it will be difficult for you to pump so in that case if you want you either your feed your child directly on the breast or go for formula feeding
