A. Frequent vomiting in a 4-month-old baby can happen for several reasons. It might be due to overfeeding, where the baby’s stomach is too full, causing the milk to come back up. Another common cause could be acid reflux, where stomach contents move back into the esophagus, leading to discomfort and vomiting. If your baby is feeding too quickly, swallowing air can also contribute to vomiting. Sometimes, babies may experience a mild stomach bug or food intolerance, which can also lead to vomiting. If the vomiting is frequent and accompanied by other signs like a fever, poor feeding, or lethargy, it’s important to consult with your pediatrician to rule out any underlying conditions. In the meantime, try feeding smaller amounts more frequently and keep your baby upright for 20-30 minutes after feeding to help with digestion.
