you can start brushing your kid's teeth soon after the eruption process of first milk teeth.
use small head soft bristles toothbrush along with rice grain size amount of kid's toothpaste

Whenever your child starts getting its teeth after that you can go ahead with a proper toothpaste which is completely fluoride free and any toothpaste brush of your choice this is how you have to go ahead with brushing twice in a day to maintain proper hygiene
