Encourage your baby to laugh or act surprised to make the reading sessions more interactive. Encourage your baby to clap by clapping along with her. Make this clapping activity more fun by using rhymes or songs your baby likes moving to. Talk and listen to your baby. When your baby babbles, respond to her with a smile. Point to your baby's clothes and describe them. Talk about different things in her surroundings. Sing her a lullaby. Make a song out of the activity that you both do together. Play Peekaboo.
