Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. just steam .Some running nose or phlem is due to the common cold and flu due to season change . Steam along with other home remedy like maintain baby temperature will help . Other medications like paracetamol for fever can be given if any fever .

kindly give nasal saline drops every three hourly and since it is a salt water it does not have any side effects and can be given again and again for nasal blockage and try to prevent temperature variations on the child and you can also give indirect steam inhalation and if there is no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor
