Q.

#asktheexpert My wife underwent gall bladdar surgery in nov 2021. now she is in her 8th month, can she undergo a normal delivery?? she is not willing as her earlier stitches ache sometimes.

A. Yes, absolutely if she had laparoscopic cholecystectomy done then she can go ahead with a vaginal delivery but if she’s not comfortable with the idea of a vaginal delivery, it should be her call to go ahead with the surgery because ultimately she’s the one who is to take the trauma of labor

A. since the surgery was 2 years back yes they can try for normal delivery as that area is not being affected very much but still you should get a proper checkup with your doctor and advise

A. hi I understand the concern but type of delivery depends on many other factors too like Baby position, baby size, amunutic fluid amount etc so please don't take stress for this just take necessary follow ups from your gynecologist and strictly follow his or her advice
