A. Without knowing what is the cause of the bleeding we cannot say anything. It could be because of anal fissure or even piles. You need to consult a surgeon for an examination

A. If your wife is constipated, she should eat high fiber foods and drink plenty of water. Do not control the urge to pass stools. Limit activities that induce rectal pressure - obesity, lifting of heavy items, constipation, straining to have a stool, sitting on the toilet seat for a prolonged period.

A. It can be postpartum rectal bleeding. It can be bright red blood or dark brown coloured blood in the stool. It can be due to hemorrhoids or anal fissures. Try a warm water bath. Sit in it for about 10-15 mins after each bowel movement or for 2-3 times a day. It helps to soothe irritation. Add Epsom salt to water to help reduce swelling and pain. Or apply ice compress on the hemorrhoids and leave it for about 10 mins. Sit on a soft cushion or a pillow.
