#AskTheExpert My toddler has started to go to school, since when he has started going to school he is getting cold very often when I will give him syrup prescribed by doctor he will be fine again in a week or so I will catch cold. note only cold with runny no other symptoms.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very uftuseful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
Steam inhalvation is repeated frequently .
