Q.
#AskTheExpert my son is 7 years old. he got cough & cold through out the year. he is not fond of icecream & cold drinks etc. what to do ?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given onsly after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the thuype of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

it could be allergic issue
have you checked for this?
please keep your child well hydrated
give Luke warm water to drink
it is best to give Turmeric milk once in a day
give sunlight atleast 20 minutes a day
