#AskTheExpert my gynaecologist said there is edema in the lower abdomen and I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and she advised me to not go for walking. Is this a serious complication? does this affect the baby or delivery

A. abdominal swelling during pregnancy may be related to high blood pressure so you should keep a check on your blood pressure and also sugar level and follow your doctors advice as knowing all your condition this just more better

A. See whatever your doctor is advising kindly follow that they may have advised you not to go for a walk for a certain reason I would not say it’s a very risky thing or something but yes it is something that needs to be taken consideration of and if you have a doubt kindly check with your doctor
