#asktheexpert My daughter has been vomiting profusely since yesterday and has watery stools, full bloated stomach and foul smelling stools and vomitus. Didn't eat any outside food like vomiting. Many kids in school are suffering from this disease. What is the reason for this and how can we get rid of it?

A. the child is suffering from acute gastroenteritis (either viral or bacterial) examination is needed by the doctor for need of antibiotics. can give probiotics like econorm / sporolac / enterogermina one to two times as per dr's recommendations. h give easily digestible food. ors to be given if loose motion is in more quantity to prevent dehydration and ensure adequate glucose level in the body. for vomiting give syp emeset / ondem / vomikind 5ml. do not give milk
