Colic in babies may be considered when baby is crying for more than 2 to 3 hours with no other specific reason and in a high pitched cry with arching of the body and flushed face. There could be many causes for colic in babies like gerd immature digestive system allergies ingulping of aur while feeding and lactose intolerance. Mothers diet and lifestyle can also be a major factor. Management could be in form of medicines like probiotics digestive enzymes antiflatulence and some home remedikies. Avoidance of formula milk cow's milk . Cycling manuvours to relieve gas massage and proper burping after each feeding is also helpful .

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. it is very important that after giving milk to the child you should keep the child in upright position and do burping for 15 to 20 minutes. do not keep the child bacfk on the bed after 1 burping because if the gas is not removed properly it will lead to colic pain and more hiccups
