#asktheexpert My child has been given Painless Infanrix hexa vaccine at 1.5 months. Should I continue with the same for 10 and 14 or switch to painful vaccine. If switch is not recommended for first three doses , can painful dtwp vaccine be given at booster dose i.e at 15-18 months, 4-5 years and 10 years or dtap to be continued. Please advise.

A. Actually I saw some articles that say painless is less effective for pertusis than painful. What does Indian pediatrician association recommendation about it?

A. It is no problem if you want to go for painless or regular vaccination it really does not matter so you can go ahead with any vaccination available for you you can switch any time as per your comfort and choice it really is not going to make any difference
