#AskTheExpert My child does not consume even a drop of milk and excretes stools just once a week. Does not like any fruits. kindly suggest how to make him eat and drink better.

Constipation is a chronic problem seen in children and most important cause is diet modification so firstly it should be taken care of. give good fibre diet with plenty of liquids and avoidance of food which can aggravate constipation like Banana excess of milk and maida containing food.
medicatiojlns like lactulose ,PEG or glycerine suppository should be second option
Constipation is usually a very common problem seen in many cases where the most important causative factor is decrease intake of high fibre diet along with lesser fluid intake.
